The Warrant Officers of the Painted Rock Chapter at Fort Irwin , CA conducted a car wash on July 11, 2007 to raise funds for a donation to KIA WIA, Inc. The KIA WIA organization provided a valuable service in support of the parents of a local US Army Soldier killed in Iraq. They provided money to the Soldier's parents for travel expenses to the funeral in addition to food coupons and other amenities. "They did a great job and I'm glad we were able to do something to help those who help the Soldier." said CW2 Christian Davis. Chief Davis was the Casualty Assistance Officer assigned to the case. The car wash netted $300 in donations from the generous Soldiers and families of the Fort Irwin community. The Painted Rock Chapter will disburse the contribution to KIAWIA, Inc after the August chapter meeting.

Pool Party at the Desert Oasis Pool

The PRC held a gathering/hail & farewell at the Desert Oasis Pool on Fort Irwin on May 13, 2007.  The kids swam in the cool waters of the pool until nightfall while the "grownups" enjoyed the fellowship of each others' company.  We said farewell to our chapter treasurer, CW2 Pellegrini, and one of our members who is going on another Iraq rotation, CW3 Mike Helie.  We also welcomed Jennifers' replacement, Allie Floyd.
